Because I got a yellow male easter egger.
So in my mind all yellows are males.
Ask @RUNuts he has yellers.

EE chicks must vary quite a bit. Mine were both chipmunck striped - 1M, 1 F.

You aren't wrong until she doesn't crow. The yellow has funny neck feathers.

I did not know that EE could be yellow. We picked out chipmunk patterned ones. They are gorgeous, but a white would be great too.

@Ursuline Chick who do you get your Marans from? Are your hens nice or are they coo coo insane like mine? Do they lay nice dark eggs? I've been reading a lot of comments from posters regarding crazy Marans and now I'm wondering if it's normal for them. Most of my issues with mine is how obnoxiously loud and vocal she is but lately she's started eating eggs too. she also tends to one of the ones who gives newcomers a hard time.

Ok. Help me guys. I ordered 2 barred rocks, 2 welsummer, 2 EE, and 2 buff Orps.
There’s no way I got what I ordered because there is only one chick for two colors, but I’m okay with whatever.
The barred rocks are the only obvious ones to me. I didn’t get photos of them.

Oh, and please ignore my long nails and bloody fingers. I know it’s gross lol.

There is just one that looks like this. Almost white feathers, with grey legs.

Two that look like this. Very clean chipmunk pattern with pinky/orange legs.

And the questionable breeds all together. Golden is top right, white is bottom left, clean chipmunk is bottom right, messy chipmunk is top left.

I’m assuming the clean chipmunk is welsummer and the one messy chipmunk is EE? I’m confused about the yellow ones though.

White feathers grey legs = 1 of your EEs

Yellow feathers pink legs = 2 BOs and a BO packing peanut (probably, unless it's another breed with same chick coloring packing peanut)

Chipmunk with pink legs = 2 welsummers

Chipmunk with grey legs = your other EE

And you said you know who your 2 Barred Rocks are.

I think you got what you ordered plus one. Your EEs are your colors that don't match anyone else. Have fun with them! Good luck getting anything done today!

EE can literally be any color but the chipmunk chicks are the most common. I've got an EE that started as a yellow with pale chipmunk stripes. She turned out white with a little bit of splash throughout, pretty grey cheeks and buff lacing on her chest. She's the prettiest bird I've got imo.

I emailed them and they just emailed back that they are shipped. I had a mini freak out mil wanted to go out tomorrow morning and come back at 9am cause supposedly she thinks thats when the po opens. I got a little annoyed at her and said they will call any time whether its open or not i will leave whether it is open or not. She doesnt seem to understand chick law

Had the same argument with my mother and husband lol. Had to convince someone to drive me at 7am even though they were clearly closed.
