➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Okay, I was up to page 138 this morning and there were 47 pages to read. Now there are many more!
Once I post this, I'm going back to reading.

I worked out in the heat this morning and early afternoon...temps reached 105!
I'm still cleaning out the hen house. When you deep litter and didn't get to clean out the "compost" last year because of pending surgeries, then the job is much more time consuming.
I got the concrete floor in the brooder room yesterday...still need to put down the wood shavings....and the little juveniles pooped all over the place!
And I got 3/4 of the floor in the hen house cleared. It was an amount equal to 80 five gallon buckets! Will do the rest tomorrow morning.
Today I was able to move 30 buckets full. Part went to the compost heap, but part went to the chicken run.
Then I mowed the garden and the front, back and side yards.

Don't judge the dirty nest boxes. Once the floor is cleared, I will scrub down the walls, cages, nest boxes and spray with a barn spray for bugs and flies. The nests will all get new bedding....those broody hens will put up a fight, but will be most happy.
Work in progress and the doorway is finished...chicks are happily scratching for little tidbits.
