We go up skiing and to McCall (about a 1.5hr drive) for the winter parade and they have these beautiful ice sculptures but i'm about 30 min into that i'm ready to go home. It's stunning, yes, but feeling like i'm about to freeze to death then sweating under all of my layers, but too cold to take them off is a miserable feeling.

I'd choose being too cold over too hot any day. I can't stand not being a busy body and that just doesn't work with the heat - but hey, that just leaves more beach space for you and the other crazies who dig sand in their butt cracks!

umm the point of layers, instead of one heavy coveralls, is so you can regulate your temp by taking a layer or two off as needed
you sure your not a southerner
