If your "Bronze" hen was a Bronze Semi-Color Semi-Gray instead (hard to tell from just looking at them other than it doesn't look quite right for a Bronze when an adult, Calicos are among the many possible outcomes from a mating with a Calico.

The first one... the black one- what is he like?! I LOVE those birds but they're expensive and I really know nothing about them. :pop
They're pretty average chickens. Rubbish in cold weather, though. He fell over and died during two weeks when the highs were 0*F and the lows were -15 to -25*F. It seems that cockerels of any breed are more prone to dying, though.

They originated in Sweden, but they're mainly bred in warm parts of the US, as far as I know.

The hen I had was a sweetie but had a bit of an attitude as a baby. She was one of my favourites later on, though. I miss her. The rooster I made a mistake on and almost turned bad but was able to save him and he became one of my most well-mannered.

Yes! Thank you for putting this into words!
Your rooster pics are amazing. I love the crowing silhouette on the roof (?)
Incredible.
Thank you! Yes, that's an OEGB cockerel on the coop roof.

You have some beautiful birds and fantastic photos of them. I love that EE.
Thank you!

Um, yeah... about that. Light a fire under me.
There's an art thread on here that does great prompts once a week. Fair warning: it has possibly the weirdest members that BYC has ever seen. They do great art, though.
