Funny how you get those shocking reminders of how brutal mother nature can be sometimes, huh? I would’ve done the same thing and been equally as horrified haha.

I once found a very very old chicken who died peacefully in the back of an unused covered nest box. She’s been picked almost totally clean by the flock.

Wow. Mother nature does not waste much, does she.

I hope so too! So far I've needed to add water to adjust the humidity, but as far as heat goes it seems to be holding well.

Alright! Day 0 begins now. It’s humidity is a little higher than I’d like but it’ll be fine. I don’t really care if I lose these eggs or not. I’m just excited to see if the double will even develop!

We’re home from the vet. Blood work came back as normal, vet thinks she probably had a mini-stroke. Thank you all for the prayers.

I'm SO glad she is home. My mind immediately went to the worst... I've had 200 lb dogs drop and not make it. When you are alone with that much dog there isn't much you can do. Glad your baby made it home!
