Thanks! That's really helpful! I ended up just buying 5 for now and if I need more, I can always go back and get them. That's already 200 pounds and was kind of heavy to push and didnt want to weigh down the car too much lol

Thanks for cross posting Kiki. I was late for my rug hooking class. :)

So deepend (that's what my nickname is for you now). Tell me about rug hooking! Is that how you make those awesome funky rag rugs or is this something more formal? I love a rag rug and i know some folks diy them. I like to think (I'm not sure) id like to try this some day.

Popping here and will go back and catch up.
Have not caught the bobcat yet. The other night she brought a young bobcat with her. They killed 4 roosters from the Freezer Camp pen and got away with three. Did not show the next night...food storage in the den was full. She showed up at midnight last night but couldn't get into any of the coops.
Maggie has been a great mother for her single duckling.

Mollie had four ducklings and lost one thru the night...

She lost one of the black lings Friday night. She has not brought her babies out of the coop yet...the remaining black was running with Maggie and Cutie. Even got in the swimming pool and could not figure out how to get out. I've place a ledge inside the pool and one outside to help.
As I was checking Mollie's nest and refreshing it with hay, I noticed that the buff duckling was not using one foot correctly. I scooped it up and have it in the NIC-U with a bandage to spread open the toes and keep the leg under the duckling instead of dragging it. In a couple of days . it can rejoin Mollie and the sibling.

And here is the "Foster Mom" it is a duster made from camel cloth and suspended above the baby...it snuggles right in there.

Saw my Doctor Thursday and I'm now on 5 medicines and have an appointment with a gastro doctor if the meds don't take care of my problem.

Our fall calves are popping out like popcorn!

I can't flipping believe this.
I left my dad and brothers alone with my 2 day old chicks for ONE GODDONG DAY and now one chick has drowned and another is in critical condition.
Wtf. I have never had this problem. And my hobbled chick was mysteriously without hobble.
I think someone royally messed up here and I demand answers :smack

I am going to try to order more eggs because I refuse to be left with only a max of 3 chicks for my troubles.

Nana! I hope you catch that cat bc it sounds like it's raising up its showing its young your property as prime hunting grounds! The duckling is lucky to have you! Can't wait for an update! I'm sure, gimpy or not, it's in great hands! And just out of curiosity (and bc I love cows and I know more than me here do) what type of cattle do you raise?
