➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Sending out live samples for Marek's testing tomorrow. Will keep y'all posted.

Keep us in your thoughts, please.

Lindi's mouth is full of mucous today and her crop appears detached. It is low in the center of her chest.

I am trying to mentally prepare myself to liquidate. I know if it comes back positive that we should and we will because my dad says we will.

It's okay! Thank you!!

And yeah, I could train the shelter puppies :D

And yeah, sorry, should have said owning rather than buying cause the initial purchase price is definitely nothing compared to the dog's lifetime. But theoretically, if they're healthy, the vet's would only be once a year, right? And our vet is pretty reasonable.

The apartment thing is definitely a bit concerning but I'm likely gonna stay here for another couple years at least anyway, especially if I go to dog training school here.

But for now I am going to volunteer.

Yeah, I think I still want my own, especially if I start dog training school, but for now I think I will just volunteer

Theoretically it is once a year. The bigger the dog the bigger the bills. My mastiff just had a salivary gland removed because it was creating a big balloon under her tongue and she couldn't eat or close her mouth. That surgery was $2500. Couple months later.... it is coming back. My pomeranian came trotting up to me one day with her eye punctured.....Emergency visit $700.... ultimate surgery to remove the eye... $800. Had one dog that swallowed a toy... off for surgery for obstruction. Stuff just happens sometimes.

I don't know you or your situation.... I just like folks to go into pet ownership with their eyes open.
