➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Oh wow, you've seen/been involved in a lot of accidents lately! Sorry! That sounds scary. I hope your sister and niece are okay?

And I hope I do not fall under the impatient moron category...
Haha! Well I don’t know you, you tell me. :gig

My niece is perfectly fine, barely even cried. My sister was badly shaken up and her back is all jacked up. They took her to hospital but thankfully she had no fractures or noticeable cervical disk damage, just dealing with whiplash and bruised/torn lower back muscles.

Lol I don't think so but idk

I figured it was about all those other idiots we both mentioned not me but wasn't sure haha

Anyway, that's good she's okay!! And I hope your sister feels better soon :(

Also, I like to think I'm pretty cautious but maybe not, idk. I wait to go, sometimes wayyy too long and I'm waiting forever cause there's a car kind of near. Although I do drive faster lately than I used to. But I always look a zillion times and try to use my signal. And sometimes I just wait behind slow people. My friend is a bit of a maniac lol

Good morning, everyone :)
The weak chick is not making any progress. Super lethargic and still won't eat.
I assist fed it this morning about 1/2 a mL of baby bird tube feeding formula (given via syringe). It was al I had the time to get in it.
If it is still alive later tonight I will try to get another mL or 2 in it.

Seems like a lot of your chicks have issues with not wanting to eat.
Is your feed small enough for them?

So I cooked the quail legs on the foreman grill after marinating in orange juice/barbeque sauce mixture. Turned out pretty tasty.

I died my hair black.
I want to see if I ever go back. (How soon I go back)
That is a new look for you. Are feeling well? You look a little pale.

I saw all the decorations in the store while cruising the marked down gardening stuff. Christmas is right around the corner and the stores are getting antsy.

On incubators, it sounds that a Little Giant brand egg turner is cost effective and the trays are the majority of the cost. Is there a better one to build a bator around?
Can someone send me the dimensions? It appears to be larger than your standard ice chest. Which means cut it down to ice chest size or make a custom box around the turners. I am really too lazy to turn eggs 3 times a day.

Also, I butchered Bravo last night. His live weight was 4.2 pounds, have to find my food scale to determine the carcass weight. I dry plucked, so haven't been able to get all the feathers out. :( We are going to do a taste test and eat him and a store bought bird on Sunday.

How will you be cooking? How old was Bravo?
I found 16 week old BR pullets were chewy on a rotisserie. Not bad, but noticeable. Much better slowly cooked in soup.
