Well, I'll be damned. My boy looks an awful lot like that Beauceron. He's just leaner and brown and tan instead of black and tan. He looks mainly dobie to me, but has something else tossed in there. Probably mutt or something ... View attachment 1632516

Yeah, he’s probably mixed. He looks like Doberman to me too, I think the Beaucerons have slightly different heads or looks or whatever but idk. He could also just not have had his ears cropped which would make him look different than a lot of dobies too. Does he have a tail?

Here is some more info and pictures on beaucerons too but he does look dobie to me but idk

He has a bigass tail and the worst downy undercoat ever. He sheds non stop. I'm pretty sure he's just a dobie/lab mix, but it's always fun to speculate wildly.

Probably! I think Beaucerons are pretty rare too but idk. Dobie/lab seems more likely, though they do have DNA tests lol and definitely fun to guess!!

Ohhh okay. They might not have said only the front, couldn’t really remember exactly. Thinking about it now, I think they just said they left the dew claws on or didn’t remove dew claws or something like that. But I thought some breeds had rear dew claws?
I read up on it and three breeds, Great Pyrenees, Beaucrons, and Briards have standards that require double dew claws. There are others as well that can have them but they aren’t required to keep them as the standards. So I stand corrected. :)

And now I see this never posted  Thank you internet connectivity problems

I think most people don’t know cause most breeders remove the front ones at birth but I only know cause I’ve been around so many Pyrenees mixes lol

And my internet sucks sometimes too lol

All but one of my dogs have their dew claws and the breeder removed it when they were really really young so we had no say.
