➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Why are you intent on eventually purchasing these so called "snacks"? Is this a form of self punishment? What have you done to deserve this???
I just want to see how being nuts feels like...for just one bite.

You realize that red bell peppers are simply green bell peppers that are actually ripe?

Yep! My patch is more than 20 years old and a second patch is growing in the lawn from moving dirt from the garden to there. The seeds sprouted and are doing well enough that I can harvest them now.
I don't know why, but I'm really hesitant to grow asparagus. It's my most favourite vegetable. I know it takes a few years before harvest. How exactly do you grow it?

The baby box above... someone wisened up and decided to not buy it at the last minute and shoved it into the magazines at the check out area.
Good idea, get some real food instead.

What happened to the yolks?
They were the little cartons of egg whites that you can get by the pallet at Sam's club. Mom only needed a couple cartons to make the wedding cake and they have just been sitting in the fridge ever since. They have an insanely long shelf life but we're never going to use them. I guess I could make angel food cake l, but it easier to just scramble them up for the girls.

I grew pumpkins when I lived in Bremerton. The climate there suited them very well. Not too hot.
Did you start from seed indoors, then transplant? If so, when did you get them started? My favorite pumpkin farm is here in Port Orchard so I know that they grow here, but my concern is always timing. Oh, and space!

Not only does it take years to harvest, but it also tries to warn you to stay away by tasting awful! I can choke down the tips, but those stalks... BLECH.
