Here the cats are allowed on the couches and beds, dogs are only allowed on the floor and their dog beds. Some of the cats like to push the boundaries and jump onto the table and counters...there are now nerf guns scattered strategically to try and train them out of this behavior.

Yeah, they definitely do that. I tried putting packing tape upside down on the counters to make sticky traps, but Penny now thinks that's a game and she can undo the traps without getting stuck. We can't leave any food out on the counters or they will get it. Can't leave any liquid filled glasses out anywhere or Penny will knock them over. She's broken at least 3 glasses within the last year.
