➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

That is awesome! Thank you so
much!
If you have any questions, let me know. IMHO my converted incubators are best kept in a stable environment throughout incubation or used only has a hatcher. I currently live in an old farm house and I killed several dozen eggs trying to figure how to start in these incubators. I eventually decided to use them as lockdown incubators when the embryos could stand larger temp swings. This year, I’ll be getting a new house! So I can see how they work as starting incubators.

Thank you, I appreciate that! That particular incubator is going to be a backup so we may very well only use it at hatching and use the other mainly for the incubation period. Idk. I've got plenty of time to fiddle with them or whatnot and decide when I am going to use it and what I am going to use it for.

I wasn’t kidding when I said this dog adores me. :love I just took this picture.

He’s the best boy in the entire universe and I hate that he’s not feeling 120%. He deserves to feel 500000%. He’s starting to get frustrated that he can’t use the old water bowel since he can’t reach it for long periods and pawing it. I know the aspirins are helping though as he gets excited to play when he starts feeling good. It’s just going to take some time.

Love him and he clearly loves his mama! Do you have a raised bowl for him? If not you can raise his on bricks, cinder blocks or anything to bring it to a comfortable height.

Yes ma’am we do. It’s his old bowl, and a water bowl just for him set up on a a storage tote that’s perfect for him, he just is so used to using the bowl on the floor.

I saw these on my FB and I just thought they were the cutest! I wish I could be so creative.

Aren’t they just adorable?

With those planters...someone has too much time on her hands...just saying. :lau:celebrate:gig

As for Elvis the rooster....I had an OEGB rooster named Guy that would fly up to my shoulder for snuggles and would often bring me a maggot, worm or tidbit. He was simply adorable. Great with his two little hens. The grandchildren loved him. Guy died of old age a few years ago.

Using one of the Hovabators dutring this hatch...eggs were due to hatch on the 9th! Added a water dish and a food bowl for the first/early to hatch and they are still popping out! This is a crazy hatch!
