Raining now. Didn’t think it was supposed to rain today lol but they changed the forecast to rain all next week too!! Except Monday and then Tuesday only a few showers but still. Slightly cooler temps too :hit so I may have to move them out this weekend after all since it’s gonna be all rain for a week and a half anyway lol and tomorrow I think the afternoon is supposed to be clear.

I hate thunderstorms. We had one pop up yesterday right at bus dropoff time. So, I was out at the end of the driveway in my car during high winds and pouring rain with lightning crashing overhead... hoping that the hail bouncing off wasn't big enough to dent the car up. The only bad thing about having property is that the bus stops a half mile from the front door and there is nothing to shelter under in between. Well, other than trees and we know that's not the best idea.

You just need to move to Idaho. We don't stress about tornadoes and it gets just as hot here during summer. We don't have things like scorpions or cockroaches either.
Where is this Utopia in Idaho? When I look, I see crap like this:
Apr 7, 2019 · Snow, rain, thunderstorms and flooding are all in the forecast this week for East Idaho including the Teton Valley area.

Your poor chickens! Mine love cockroaches. Today was coop cleaning day and compost opening day. We stirred several out of their nasty, filthy beds. Black hen did not dawdle, ate it right there on the spot before someone could steal it from her. Crunch and slurp. Gone.

Very nice with a side of sowbugs.

It is raining here...cats and dogs!!! Started just 20 minutes ago and there is already more than 1/2 inch in the gauge. Weather man predicted 1.5 today.

Sure glad Maggie's nest is situated in the highest section of the front yard under the Scotch pine and several other trees...with a big rock to block the blowing rain!
She was off the nest this morning to eat and bathe.

Took Aleve and a muscle relaxer at noon because my joints are sore and my muscles are tight.
We haven't had real rain in weeks. It usually pours all of April and this year, it's been sunny and calm. Lovely now, but a bad sign for the summer fires. They're going to be bad this year. I saw two burned patches on the highway on my way home yesterday. TWO. Already. Last year the air quality was so bad that we couldn't even really go outside much. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm a teensy bit jealous of your rain.
