Alright, alright I will. But then again, everyone is addicted to phones/technology these days. It’s not just me. But then again I guess most people at least also have a life :lau

And it is though. At least straight. Hah that’s like practically the entire day. And I don’t even know if I can even find that much to do that whole time :lau

I don’t really see what’s so bad about just severely limiting it. Or starting with a few hours instead of 6 or 8.

But I guess I could try it. Idk.

And that’s true but that’s why I want to put it down. Not saying I’m not gonna limit it, just going the entire day without it is a long time when I’ve been used to being on it all day most days. Jumping from all to none seems a little extreme. But maybe I need extreme. Idk.

But I do need to at least start moving more. I sit way too much

I think I’m gonna start going for a walk every day. I haven’t been doing the dogs as much or like at all lately which gives me a lot more time which is a bad thing

Well, it would be good if I used it.
Seriously you dont want to do anything. You can say you do all you want youre just kidding yourself. If you really want to do constructive stuff you would find a way. Sorry but it's true. About a resume' no one has to have a resume unless youre in a specialized field. Ordinarily people just fill out applications thats how you get hired.

I need lessons on letting stuff go.
Many times I have donate stuff only to find a need for it later.
Of course now I can't find what I want and waste more time looking for it than to go to town and get new
My grandmother was a pro! If she didn't use something in 1 year....she got rid of it. Made money selling stuff in a garage sale or donated stuff to thrift stores and churches for mission use.
She would tuck her earnings away to purchase an item she may have disposed of when she realized her error.
She wasn't a minimalist because she loved to decorate and craft. She died when she was 101.

And i aint even gonna get started on dirty dishes i be ruined for the rest of the day lol
My pet peave is dirty dishes!
I wash dishes as I prepare a meal. While I appreciate it when hubby decides to cook, but I know the kitchen will need a full cleaning after dinner.
I can so much produce, I want a sanitary clear surface for that process.
Ooooh and never set a grocery bag on my kitchen table!
Those have been on the check out counter, in a unsanitary shopping cart, in the trunk or floorboard of the car where dirty street shoes have been.

When grandkids come to visit EVERYONE puts their phones in a basket by the door. We actually enjoy visiting without someone checking their phones or social media or playing some game.

I play catch up on BYC because I don't carry my phone outside. It is in my purse. I check for phone for voice mail or attempted messages when I come back inside after my chores are done.
Every family member knows if it is an emergency call 911.
Or I will call back after a few hours.

I didn't have a resume until after my first full time job.

Funny story... I was at the mall with a friend and we were walking past Hallmark. I remarked to her that I thought it would be fun to work there. She said I should apply. I went in and asked for an application. The gal at the counter said they don't have any prepared applications but she dug a paper bag and a pen from behind the register and said I should write down my contact information in case something comes open. It was super awkward but I just smiled and rolled with it. We laughed and laughed about my "resume". But wouldn't you know, they called me when it got near the holidays and said there was a temporary opening with potential to become permanent. Someone was leaving the end of the year. I'd already found another job so I never did get to work at Hallmark.

But seriously, if I can get a job offer from writing on a paper bag...

Nope to the don't use it in a year toss it. I have winter wear, skis and snow shoes that I only use when we have a blizzard. Which is every couple of years. Same with other specialty things... tools, parts, swimsuit, bike shorts, bike. I have hardly bought any clothes since I retired. I lost 30 lbs and had skinny clothes to wear. Still wear the fat clothes with the chickens. Saved a bunch of money because I had skinny clothes

I saved my skinny clothes and now that I can actually fit into them again I got rid of everything I owned that was too big for me because I refuse to ever be that size again.
It actually time to get rid of more clothes that are getting too big.

:celebrate:wee

I hate shopping
Dude. You go to the store every flipping day.
Lmao. :smack

And the first step to overcoming an addiction..
admitting you have a problem.

I could easily go months without BYC or social media in general.
I don’t use it to mask responsibilities, I use it as a reward for completing responsibilities.
I don’t use it to drown out difficult emotions, I shut my phone down so I can process my feelings away from the internet’s influence.
I don’t spend all of my time thinking about what I’m going to post or chat about on here, I’m too busy with school and a marriage to think about that.

Surely you can see the difference here?
And I don’t even know if I can even find that much to do that whole time
GET A FREAKING JOB! :he
What do you think we all do with our time?? Everyone here is a full time student, or working, or reaping the benefits of the life they’ve worked hard for with retirement.
I would go insane if I didn’t WORK.
Idle hands are the devil’s workshop!

Sounds like "Funniest Home Videos " prize winner!
Did you keep the geckos inside or let them go?
I’m sure it was much funnier to see than to read haha!
No, I let them go. I’m a firm believer that wild animals should stay wild.
Plus, they’re on mosquito eating duty. I love my little gecko friends!
I Cant stand dirt on the floor or walls so covered with stuff like pictures and mirrors and shelving that its hard to tell what color it is.
You know they sell paint for that?
