I recommend a fishing net. 4' long is ok. The 6' long handles are better. I'm looking for another tight meshed, 6 foot handle net for the quail . I take it to the other coops, just in case. Then lose a quail from the first set of coops and have to run back and play find the quail.

I admit it is easier with a shotgun. But the challenge with a net!

Yeah and he didn't attack me at all.

I need to get a net like that! I got all cut up because of thorn bushes. I named him HeiHei after the chicken on Moana :lol: he sounds just like him!

I'm going to introduce him to the layer flock soon. I'm just worried about the Jersey giant boys picking on him. I honestly want to get rid of Sid! My husband doesn't want to though! Sid is just mean and not being kind to the girls.

We are going to give him till March to straighten out or in bringing him to the swap to sell him.
 
Do any of you have any advice on how to catch a massive rooster that weighs 10 lb?

I think I'm going to give sit away for free tonight to someone who has taken our roosters before because he is stomping on the hens heads while squatch is mating with them... I honestly don't like that he does this. I think that he just needs to go somewhere else.

My husband tries to say that we should keep him but I am not happy that he has completely destroyed one of my hens. She has tons of feathers missing and she also had a hole in the back of her head from him pecking her while 'squatch was mating with her.

My husband won't let me do that because for some reason he's attached to this jerk!

He went to go attack me and I threw flour all over him because I had nothing else to mark him with. I want to make sure we don't grab squatch!

The guy is meeting us at 6 at TSC to pick up this jerk. Thank goodness!

I told my husband that he can just grab him in the coop. That's why I tried to mark him the best that I could so that he can just grab him while they are in the coop. I'm sure squatch will attack him but at least the jerk will be gone tonight.
