"Why didn't I think of it. All this time, all these years, it never crossed my mind," Amy murmured to herself. "I mean, I guess it's turned out all right, but none of them have been wanted." She continued with her small rant but cut it short when she realized Artemis had asked her a question and therefore likely expected a legitimate answer. "We're being watched," she said under her breath. And the fact that he had thought to tell her now, was it because he knew? Or at least suspected? He seemed easy about it. He certainly didn't look like he was prepared to turn her in anytime soon, but what if word slipped and Vanessa wanted to turn her in?

"Only from the outside," Amy assured her. "There aren't any cameras in my building." She didn't sound completely sure of herself but she was correct, wether she knew it or not. "If you can help it, please don't freak. We both need to be as calm and cas as possible, okay?"
Simeon eventually pulled up close to brooklyn's house, tired. He sighed "Here we are.", dreading to leave her.
Amy stared after her with a concerned look on her face. This whole situation had become seriously complicated in so many ways, and adding that they were possibly being watched didn't help matters. She was thankful, though, that that had been brought to her attention. Since there had never been any serious incidents with Contenders in the past, she had become rather lax in her ways. It was good to be kept on one's toes. She returned to the sink to finish the dishes, thoughts of the Poles now weighing on her kind. He genuinely wanted the reconciliation between them, as did she, but for now it seemed only he would actually be around. And for how long? And where did they each stand in this war?
