Well I went and ordered some more jaerhon eggs, since the last ones were all shook up and didn’t get anywhere near hatch... and the last 2 isbar eggs available cuz why not... lol. Still waiting for more hedemora to become available, but in the meantime... :p
I have a bunch of quail chicks to take pics of...

I have 1 egg set to hatch on September 8 and others (somewhere between 4-8) hatching on the 15th. I can't take the egg turner out early and just hand turn the eggs because of school. What should I do about the one egg? Would it be ok in the turner? I have a Janoel 12 and if the turner wasn't already a bit cramped I'd shift eggs around to give that one egg more space in the turner.

:hugs
USPS did it again!   They lost another shipment of eggs! They don't want to reimburse me for my last lost batch either. Not sure if it will go anywhere, but I filed a claim about it with the federal trade commission (because it is the 3rd claim they haven't paid out on).
So sorry you are going through this. That is so frustrating! I’ve only bought shipped eggs twice this year and both arrived in good condition but after some of the news I’ve heard and read about on the USPS I’m afraid to even try again. Hopefully things will get better. But to loose all that money, I can feel your frustration!:hugs

Do you remember the breeders? Have them file too so you can get your money back

I do. The one breeder is the one from Virginia that I have been emailing back and forth. She said she currently has 5 claims going that the USPS is not paying out on. Some of them are 2-3 months old.
That is ridiculous, but the PO isn’t getting the funding from the government now either. This is a hot mess

Yes, absolutely ridiculous! I say give them the money once they take a good look at their employees (getting rid of the bad ones) and can do their job right. I honestly feel like they are not paying out insurance claims because they are pinching pennies now - which is wrong. If they could do their jobs right then there wouldn't be near the insurance claims to pay out and they wouldn't be losing so much money that way.
