@FortCluck

Here are the 2 sellers that I have been most impressed with out of my 4 orders of BCM.

The hatch I did in April where I got 5/8 to hatch and the hatch I attempted in July (the batch I dropped off my lap as I was putting them into the hatcher) which resulted in 0/5 hatching (but all 5 were moving around when I candled on day 18) were from juddlisa. They are out of Texas. The seller is a great communicator and the chicks that hatched are some of the tamer and sweeter ones I have hatched this year.

The batch in my incubator now that I thought I could see pretty good development in most of the 12 eggs on day 4 (basically I saw a floating speck...lol) is from imhoneygirl. This seller is very nice! Sent a personalized handwritten note in the box and has great communication via messaging. She is out of Pennsylvania.

Well, I managed to time it well so that my jaerhon eggs will be hatching along with my 3 homegrown duck eggs... lol. It also appears that my appleyard duck may decide to incubate some herself; I guess since she’s locked in the house because of her damaged foot (not sure what she did but severed the tendon in her middle toe and then got it NASTY infected) and I guess she thought that meant it was time to lay a couple eggs and then sit on them. šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø We shall see if she is successful or not; she’s pretty dopey so no guarantees there. Lol. The quail are due a few days before the other eggs, but I’ll need to move my older chickies out before then to make sure I’ve got adequate brooder space. Time sure flies. Whew.

I GOT MY FIRST INTERNAL PIP!!! Super eggxcited! I went to check on my 10 week old chicks inside the garage and I checked the humidity in the incubator when I noticed something strange. One of my eggs had rolled a little ways off from where I put it. There is no way it could have gotten bumped and no one other than me ever deals with the eggs and the incubator. I opened the incubator and picked up the egg and instantly I felt movement in my hand. I gently rolled the egg around in my hand checking for external pips. There were none. Then I brought the egg to my ear and whistled a little. Right away I heard chirps coming from the egg. Strong healthy chirps. I nearly dropped the egg in surprise. I put the egg back in the incubator. I guess I can expect it to hatch tomorrow night probably.
@MysteryChicken you were right.

Hey all!

Been a quick minute. I haven't caught up on the thread yet, but I thought I would let you know that tomorrow is hatch day for my Sulmtaler eggs, 8 have made it to lockdown and as of right now two of eight are peeping and pipped.
Tomorrow is my hatch day too. All three of mine made it to lockdown.
