A storm came through last night. We had a power outage about 10:30 PM and lasted an hour and 13 minutes. My govee temperature/humidity sensor tracks by the minute and in that time, the temperature in my old style Sportsman cabinet went from 99.9 to 94.3 before it started climbing when the power came back on. It was under 99 for about an hour. It would have been worse in winter but it is about 85 in that room now. I'm sure they're fine. In that length of time the internal egg temperature wouldn't have dropped much. Probably like a hen getting off the nest for a half hour.

So I guess I will be joining this hatch along to
Well I am in... darn broody somehow has 12 eggs under her. They appeared yesterday... i have no clue how they go there. Hehehe

12 light brahma eggs from a relative, since we gave our roo away and the one we have now is to young...
Welcome to the party. :jumpy :jumpy :jumpy

I candled the GLW egg this mor ing and there was definitely something inside! If this chick survives, its name will be Jellybean just because of the jellybean shape I saw through my camera and not with my eyes.

Definitley have to join that one! I'll put eggs in on the 10 so they should hatch on Halloween.
Yes!!! There’s usually contests and stuff too. It’s the spookiest hatch ever šŸ˜‚ I hatched some last year and named them all Halloween names like Spook and Wednesday. My friend actually has those two and they’re doing amazing.

Halloween is my favorite holiday! I wish my pullets would start laying in September, but I don't know if they will start laying since they turn 21 weeks on October 19 and they probably won't lay on the dot either. It's too bad, I could have gotten some spooky mixes. At least I have one chicken that looks like she is Halloween.

You never know. Some of my pullets lay between 19-20 weeks so maybe you’ll get lucky šŸ€
