The bantams aren’t bad and my standards aren’t either. He was injuring them like their legs and their wings. He was way too heavy. My girls love these new boys.

I'm on a waiting list for Egyptian Fayoumi chicks and think those would fit in with bantams. The hens only weigh about 3.5 lbs.

My bantams are so small. The cockerels are so mellow even during hormonal times.

Just set lockdown for my Aug 1st hatch.... still hoping for lots of blue nn.... I am headed for as big a chicken as I can grow. 10 pound roosters and 8 pound hens are what I would love to see..... I have a few red broiler type hens in with my Big rooster so I hope to get bigger and quicker for next year. The splash Nn is very chunky for his short legs....

I just wanted to say Hi- I have our very first eggs in the incubator on day 7- could not be more excited! I really wanted to have some Plymouth Rocks- hard to get here in Europe, so I had them shipped, only 2h away but they look pretty shaken.
Airbubbles are not that big, but rolling, of 4 eggs 2 clears, 1 blood ring and the last one- I saw perfect developement with veins and a tiny embryo on day 3- and now strong veins, but only in the top half of the egg? so very strange! I´d keep it in the incubator, but what do you say?

Currently in the incubator we have Blue Cochin Bantams, Porcelain D'uccle and some Frizzle/Satin Silkies. They should hatch around August 10.
We also have an Old English Game hen that should start to sit within the next few days.

That egg is viable.... absolutely a keeper! Cross my fingers for you!

Imma leave this here since we’re talking about bantams being awesome lol. This is my sebright cockerel with the gimpy leg; came to work with me this morning to get an X-ray but pooed all over himself in his kennel and needed a bath XD he enjoyed it. Lol

also! Quail eggs (and Norwegian jaerhon) have arrived and were set last night!

I miss my sebright so much!

I’ve got 3 of them atm and getting more eggs to hatch. xD they’re pretty awesome little birds. Now if only I could hatch some pullets this time around.
