🐕 Golden Retriever Chat 🐕

Do these dogs shed very bad?

What’s their temperament as a puppy?
Yes the do shed a lot. Especially show/pet goldens. Tucker my field golden doesnt shed as much but he has a ton more energy. He needs enrichment, he needs training and work.
Temperments change a happy healthy, super friendly puppy can turn into a not so friendly shy puppy without proper training and socializing.

My families female Denver is very outgoing she loves almost everyone but can be stubborn and sheds a ton. We new her Dam personally.

But Tucker was a happy puppy, he had a bit of issues with men but it he was pretty confident. In puppy class he learned quick. Went through the socialization (over tarps, pools, sand, rocks, and many other materials, through tunels.) He was brave. And that was until he was charged at by dogs at around 9/10 months. Now he is reactive scared and not confident. Its took months of training to get him comfortable with regular walks without reacting. And he loves agility, but wont do teeter contacts.

It really depends on the dog. And the sire/ dam. Ethical breeders, breed for temperment. Not for money and not for coat color. I have a good list of ethical breeders if you are intrested

How old is your Goldie?
About 3 and a half, which is crazy because It feels so recent that his breeder sent a picture of his mom's ultrasound.

What is your Goldies favourite thing to do?
Cause trouble, go on runs, and Ball.
