I was also thinking about asking my oldest son if he could put together a less expensive version. He's very good at that kind of thing. Would be nice to have that information on hand, without a lot of work.
He probably could. Theres all kinds of neat electronics you can put together.

Please explain,, I'm slightly puzzled/confused what is happening.:idunno
At this time of year bees will rob honey from other hives. Because the weight jumped so much in one day, it shows, that hive is robbing another hive.
I hope I explained that good enough. 🙂

9 pounds is a lot of honey. That is why I'm wondering how they can do it in one day.. :old

Is the honey being robbed from a close by hive, or a neighbors hive?? Just wondering.

I'm sure it could be from either one.

That is a lot of honey. I would think it also depends on how many bees are in a hive. I imagine stealing honey is easier than bringing in nectar, once the fighting is done anyway. Food ready to eat usually is.

Of course we don't have answer details, but just wondering what your thoughts on this are.
Do you think the bees in the thieves hive, and the plunders victims hive are same variety??
Kind of like a matchup of Gladiators, and Early Christians.
