🐝💗Our Backyard Beekeeping Journey!💗🐝

Wildflowers and a few other flowering plants we put in for the bees!
We scattered the wildflowers kind of late, so I think a lot won't bloom and re-seed.

I instantly recognize that one,:frow,, its the BATMAN flower ❤️
😁 That's what I should have named him...lol. I was going to name him Pharoah, but my dil liked Anubis, even though he's a cat, so that's what he was christened. He's our stray, look don't touch... but I will talk to you and I would like you to pet me, but I have to swat your hand when it approaches me... :gig

47°F after 38°F this morning. Very little bee activity today.
You definitely run cooler than we do.

It's supposed to hit 70 today, trending to upper 70's midweek, overnight lows in the 40's. Then by Saturday we'll be in the 60's, with overnight lows still in the 40's. It usually doesn't start to really dip until the end of October. Then we can expect frosty conditions. I'm glad to see that our bees are still quite active. Can't wait to do inspection when we get home. Then we will decide whether we need to combine any hives.

Supposed to freeze here tomorrow.
