Spot, I am so impressed with what you have accomplished with Pepsi! As a fellow service dog owner / trainer I want to tell you something I did.
Because of problems with people assuming that they could come and pet the cute puppy I made a sign.
I took 2 half sheets of paper, at the top I put ‘DO NOT APPROACH’. In smaller letters I put ‘service dog in training’.
I laminated them, put one on each side of the leash, attached them to each other & the leash. It worked.

No swelling, heat or limping, except for very occasionally! Since a few hours after she originally hurt it ,so she is going off crate rest a lot faster then expected

Which is great because there is only so much rest we can force her to have, before....

outdoor kennels are looking very nice right now

You definitely don’t have to answer if you don’t want to, but is Pepsi going to be an ES dog or a service dog? I’m looking into starting the process for getting Aspen certified (she already alerts me to asthma, my heart problems and vertigo issues 10-15 minutes ahead of time and she hasn’t even been trained) but I would like to go ahead and make it official.

She is going to be a service dog (assistance dog in the uk). Thats a great start! Natural alerts are rare. If you are in America then you don't need to register her or get any kind of certificate (same as the uk)
