I can't think of a movie from a book that I've been happy with.
I found ist mostly disappointing to watch the movie after reading the book.

Is this a novel? "City Ghosts" by that author is about true tales of hauntings in American cites. Or is it one of the stories in that book? I'd like to read about that girl and Jacob.I just finished "City of Ghosts" by Mary Beth Sammons, and it's amazing!!
A girl has a near death experience, and because of that, she can visit the sort of limbo between the spirit and mortal worlds. Her best friend and sidekick is Jacob, a ghost that can read her thoughts.
I remember reading that!! And there's something with strings, right?A girl has a near death experience, and because of that, she can visit the sort of limbo between the spirit and mortal worlds. Her best friend and sidekick is Jacob, a ghost that can read her thoughts.
Highly recommend!!

Have you read or seen The Princess Bride? One of the only times I've enjoyed the movie over the book. But the book is wonderful too!I can't think of a movie from a book that I've been happy with.
Haven't read it, so can't judge the movie against the book, but the movie on its own is wonderful.Have you read or seen The Princess Bride? One of the only times I've enjoyed the movie over the book. But the book is wonderful too!
The book goes into more detail about the characters pasts. And the pit of despair is really the zoo of death. Now I gotta read it again!Haven't read it, so can't judge the movie against the book, but the movie on its own is wonderful.
Iāve enjoyed it. Itās very interesting to read since I grew up and live in a small town in Alabama. I can really hear the accents. Itās also interesting because while so much has stayed the same over time even as so much has changed. There is a lot of wisdom to be found in it beyond just what the book is famous for.One of THE BEST books ever written, IMHO. The movie is equally good too, and I can't say that about many books-made-into-movies.
Yes but itās definitely worth reading I avoided it for years because it was supposed to be sad but I really enjoyed it.Isn't that one one of the sad ones?
