My Barred Rock started laying speckled eggs like this too! They all took a slow down when we had super cold temps and after that, we suddenly had a speckled light brown egg! I spent weeks trying to figure out who was laying it...then actually had the opprotnity to watch my BR lay it! I was shocked, my PBR's have always laid plain light brown eggs, I was excited this one is so unique.

That's a fairy egg! They usually only have a very small yolk, or no yolk at all. It's nothing to worry about though.
