I have 6 hens, born April 2024. Recently I’ve noticed that one of them has either slowed down laying her eggs or has stopped completely.
I have 3 green and 3 brown layers. By differentiating between the shades of brown I’m suspecting the freeloader is my fav girl and hen with the biggest personality, my Speckled Sussex (bc of course it’s her).
She hasn’t been showing any signs of illness and eats the same thing as the others, a balanced pelleted food. It has been a bit hot this summer but they get plenty of water and shade. She also doesn’t seem stressed at all, she’s a very friendly and energetic lady.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
