I have duck eggs that are 1 day past the 28 day due date. I can hear them squeaking but none have piped. How long do I wait? When if at all should I intervene?

As @SueT Asked did u class day 1 as day 1 as should be zero also a day late is not to worrying tbh mine been like 5 days late try nt to open incubator to much keep out for signs of pipping xxAre you counting Day 1 as the day you set them? That should be Day Zero.
Even if they are a day late, there isn't necessarily any problem. It could be the temp was a bit low. If they are squeaking, that's a good sign!
Well, with chicken eggs, they say leave for an extra 2-3 days. Once they pip, (hole) they should zip within 12 hrs. (chisel around the top). Again, this is for chickens. If they dont they can run out of oxygen. In which case you are supposed to gently break membrane with tweezers and take off a small piece of shell/membrane to make an air hole.I have duck eggs that are 1 day past the 28 day due date. No, I counted it as day 1! Rookie mistake. I have one that made a crack but the rest have yet to to pipAre you counting Day 1 as the day you set them? That should be Day Zero.
