My chickens have slowed down production to ONE EGG a day!!!:hit I have 3 buffs and 3 Black stars and all are 2 1/2 years old. Last summer I would get 6 a day! I don't think any are molting and I'm sure there aren't any hidden nests. Help?:fl

You have to keep in mind that production is best in the first two years.

Could a pest eating their eggs? Are they eating their eggs? What are you feeding them?

They have a pretty high tech coop where no critters can get in. I haven't seen any yolk or shells in the hay but I will look out for that. As for feeding, I use a Hardy Hen egg layer feed

If you put golf balls in the nest, it will encourage them to use the nests. (If the are hiding their eggs.) And will help convince them to stop eating their eggs. (If they are eating their eggs.) :)

Ill try that thanks
