1 egg but haven't gotten anymore.

We got our first egg a few days ago and we think it came from our Leghorn, since it was white with some spots, but we haven't gotten any other eggs. The first egg was found out of the coop. We do let them free range around the backyard during the afternoon but I haven't found any eggs anywhere else. Is this normal?

How old are they? Some will lay early at times. Initially, the laying may be erratic. They won't necessarily all start to lay at the same time.

My hens forage all day, but return to the nest to lay.
