1 wk chk, bloody poop. Won't take their medicine, suggestions please??

I've never heard of or seen Sulmet before, so is it like a liquid or mash??? Maybe try mixing it in with your chicken's favorite food...Usually chickens LOVE yogurt (if they've never had it, they will be cautious about it but once they try it they will probably like it), so maybe try giving some yogurt to them without the Sulmet (plain, non-flavored yogurt). When they get used to it and they seem to like it, mix some Sulmet into it without them seeing and give it to them.
If they don't like yogurt, mix it with something else that they may like.

I hope this helps!

Sulmet is a liquid medicine that is added to the drinking water. The directions indicate that it should be the only source of water for the chickens when they are being treated. It must have a strong and awful taste since they have such an aversion to it. Maybe I can get them to eat enough in the yogurt so they can have regular water.
Adding the meds to yogurt is a great idea, I'll try it thanks.

OK, the yogurt works GREAT. I had introduced them to yogurt a few days ago. Now they are devouring it and don't even know they're getting their medicine.

I'm uncertain about how to regulate a dosage but am very relieved to know they are at least getting something.

BTW, 77horse - I love your avatar!
