10-2-10 Lewiston, Maine Chickenstock (not just for chickens)

Awesome Hoppy. We plan on coming up to support the club - we don't belong to the Central Maine club, but enjoy seeing what everyone else has. Will you be coming down for the Lewiston event?

Well, cross of Dave the Mille Fleur roo, he sold today. Still looking for D'uccle eggs. Oh, BTW there is a poultry at the Windsor Fair Grounds on Oct 3. No idea on time yet, it is going to be held by the Central Maine poultry club.

the windsor poultry show on sunday starts at 9:00am with tail gate sales (must be NPIP tested and fee is $10)
there usually are some really nice birds for sale at the end of the show season.
I'll be with showing but nothing for sale. I will have blue laced red wyandottes in the show and chicks in the spring as usual.

Would you happen to have an address for the show? or is it at the fairgrounds?
I would like to go, not sure if I'll have anything, but maybe buy instead....

....hint, hint, looking for some black langshans (roo too) and black or blue silkies (maybe white too), EE's too

K - we will driving a Blue Durango (POS), I will have my 5 year old and husband with me. Just look for the curly hair on the little girl you can't miss it! Ooh and of course a big black rooster!

If your coming by way of Auburn side of Lewiston you may want to think different route. I am not positive but today is the Patric Dempsy bike race for cancer.

For those getting off the turnpike North and South your fine. Hope to see you there!!!! We are all packed and raring to go! If you want to meet me I have the yellow shirt on, if you don't want to meet me (Giggle) hide from the woman in the yellow shirt!

How much fun was today! It was our first event, in the spring we will having another one at Lewiston TSC and probably one at Oxford.
The wind was a bit much today but with good people surrounding and loving chickens, life is great. Thank you all that came. Kel:D

Had a great time. Actually went home with less than I brought

Still need a name for Scooter's son. He has settled right in with his two new silkie friends. The three of them will probably take over the homestead. And Isaac, my other chicken acquisition, also seems to be happy. He just has to wait a bit before being introduced to the rest of the flock. My ducks were giving him the evil eye when I brought him by their pen to his temporary quarantine area.

Had a great time at the swap in Lewiston. Picked up a lot of good information on poultry to a DVD on biosecurity from Kellie. Kellie, do you know what paper the photographer worked for or when the photo's he took may appear?

We also picked up some pine shavings TSC had on sale for $3.99 per bale. It was a lot of fun talking with everyone & meeting new people & scooter.
