Oh my gosh. At the risk of offending somebody, all I can say is, how on Earth does anyone read that? I've tried, and my dad has tried. Neither of us succeeded. Did do wonders for catching up on sleep, though.

It took me two years, but yes I have read it.

I was motivated. Tolstoy on the other hand - no motivation - I watched the movies instead!! LOL!

Addendum - I have tried but cannot get even a portion of the way through the Srutis, and the Vedas of Hinduism. For one thing there are hundreds of them, for another - mother of pearl they are long and convoluted!!!
