At 7 weeks we processed 4. They were all in the 3 pound range once fully processed.
That is very weird... That is what most meat markets sell. Just ask them how much they sell per pound for chicken. It is 99% chances they are selling broilers.

WOW!!! 50? That's a lot. Sounds like you all had a great ending number. So you all were able to put 42 in the freezer? How often do you all eat them and how many do you all have left?
We usually cook a chicken every weekend and have leftovers 1 night. I figured we will be done with the 42 by the time it is time to butcher again. I have given a few to family - makes a nice gift.
Also on your containers, I used a huge tote (probably held 20 gal), dip out what you feed, I usually fed at least half, then put new feed in, add water to cover all, give a good stir, add more water if needed and ready for the next day. The FF that is left will help ferment the new batch faster.
