I figured if we drank half as much milk, the price would work out the same? Hah. Then the health benefits over store bought. I don't drink too much milk, but cereal is just not the same with almond milk! Or my cup of tea.

Oh another thing to update on. I have my first CX cross barred rock in the incubator :) I am really psyched about it!
I'm very interested to see that cross. i just found this thread. i start reading it from the beginning. you also have some good looking barred

I'm paying 7-10$ a bale NOT organic.

I definitely need to trade in those horses for goats!!

I understand the need for granola with milk!! Been there done that. I don't eat granola anymore, and no milk anymore. Yogurt and cheese YES. If I eat high carbs of the SAD, my arthritis flairs up, hot flashes fire away, and my brain goes foggy. Hence lot of chickens, eggs, and turkeis to et for me.

I just can't get over the texture of regular almond milk. Chocolate almond milk is good, and chocolate hazelnut milk is reeeeaaally good. I order that from Amazon and my daughter takes them to school as an occasional treat.

I FINALLY got to a TSC too, got two packs of bulbs and an extra brooder lamp. I'm such a procrastinator.

I have tried a lot of the almond milks but they tend to have too much sugar in them. I try to keep everything below 9 grams, so my milk of choice is the soy milk.

Glad that you got your bulbs. Procrastinator or not, at least you got them. :)
