That's honestly really sad. :(
It's true that 'ex-bats' (former battery hens if that's what you were referring to) can have disease and are prone to reproductive issues but it's got nothing to do with them simply being mixed breeds. They were kept in unsanitary and inhumane conditions which is why they have disease, and they were bred for high egg production hence the reproductive issues/sometimes shorter lifespan.
Those shouldn't be reasons to give up on them though, unless your own birds are at risk.

(*Realizes I have gotten way off topic so I'm done now lol*)

The first rooster does look like an aracauna. All the hens after him are easter eggers, because they aren't any specific color.
I have brabanters
Jungle fowl
EE
Wyandotte’s
Cuckoo Marian’s
Barred rock
Dominique’s
Ayam Cemani
Araucana
Americana
Americaunas
Cream legbar
Red sex links
Black copper marans
Australorps
Polish
None are perfect or would be show quality so that means none of my birds should be referred to as a breed so how would I then ask a question about my birds just say there all mutts that’s unreal back yard flocks usually consist of mix breeds
Gotta change the name to PURE BREED CHICKENS
instead of BYC
Mixed breeds are not in any way worse than purebred chickens. I actually prefer mixed breeds, since you can breed them as you like and they have such an immense array of colors.
The thing that annoys people is when chickens are mislabeled. For instance, I wouldn't call my American gamefowl mix a pure American gamefowl. Though you know what it means, others won't and might think that their chickens that look similar are also purebred.

Yeah I figured they weren’t purebread because why would the lady sell them to me
I do think Lucky the araucana is but I think she sold him to me because he’s like 4 or 5 years old lol
I did have a white araucana hen but she just came up missing last month I don’t have a good pic but she was pure white and rumpless and tough as nails she fought my turkey once and thought she could win

Also the correct spelling is Ameraucana.
I have raised nothing but Ameraucanas for a long time if anyone wants a reference you can look here

I currently have black Ameraucana and sell the birds and hatching eggs. Well the eggs after the molt
Ohh, sorry to jump on the thread, however I have been looking for some Ameraucana chicks/hatching eggs.. texasSam, when your ladies are finished with their molt, would you be willing to sell chicks? Or hatching eggs?
Thanks
