If I can sell enough chicks to pay for the nurture right 360 my husband might not mind so much if I buy it 🤔🤫
That's one of the incubators I've been interested in. (The other is the Incuview.) I'd love a Brinsea, but price makes that option not possible.

I fridge eggs to stop fertility should I be checking each one for development ?
That was the way Ma did it oh no might she not have known ... I do have have two incubators
one will hold only 8 eggs other does 56
It's my understanding that they won't develop in the fridge. I think that's how mama hen hatches her whole brood more or less at the same time. She keeps them just warm enough to stay viable, then when she has enough, starts sitting. Her constant warmth starts and sustains their growth.

The fridge is cold and often humid. Putting eggs in there may or may not damage or kill the embryo. People do hatch flourishing fridge-egg babies, but it's not optimal.

Never had a partial bird in egg then or now just pulling your chain I guess jokester

My brother in law swore I gave him a hen that laid eggs with partially developed chicks. I told him it wasn’t possible that he was picking up old eggs. He denied that.

On the test run 4 are out 5 to go. The test on this was to see if I could insulate the incubator well enough in a room that wasn’t stable temperature wise. This would be the barn with cold temps. It’s working. Also to see if young roosters were fertile. They are :lau
