I want to join the Hatch a long! I had already planned to hatch some in my incubator this week! My only broody hen is my sebright bantam and I have no idea where her clutch is hidden. She only shows up midday to drink or eat and quickly disappears! I will be hatching some green eggs from my Easter egger hen.
I really want to know if she sleeps outside on her clutch as well. If so she is very lucky to not have gotten eaten already ... (if you have predators in your area)

This is a neet idea for a thread .. Odd link came up in the corner of my screen and that'show I found this thread.. Why did that
link come up? Is that a new option the thread starteds have now?

Just curious....
It was Niftychicken!

How are you having your students follow along.. we were going to start some this past Monday at school and couldn’t. This is a great idea.
I send a morning greeting/check in email to each student and will give updates and pictures as we go along. I can even get a little bit of genetics in there since I know mostly which eggs came from which hens and we only have a few roosters. I've asked each one to guess how many of the 20 eggs will hatch. I can do video chat later once the chicks come or maybe for candling. When we are back to school I will bring the chicks to visit. I think all the little things like this that teachers, paras and other school employees are doing will help the kids stay connected to their school community, to know they are still part of a community not just being sent work to do at home :).

That’s neat.. we have google classroom set up for our students, I am a para also. :). Maybe I will set something up to send pics and stuff to ours to. They were excited to hatch. If/ when we go back will hatch some then.

We will be placing 3 chicken eggs under our broody hen this Saturday! We are excited to join this years Hatch-a-long!
So, went from 3 eggs under a hen to 29 in an incubator! My Hubby caved and let me try some from my mom's mixed flock and some more from our!
