i did initially but the guinea pig cage we’re currently using may stick out too far....i will measure again once assembled

good thing they are easy to assemble.

not lately....things have been so crazy that i’m lucky to check in at zack’s live videos.

I haven't been there since he missed because of his boat building.

I tried candling, but could not see anything. And the flashlight I used was made for candling. Maybe just my poor eyesight.

I find that a phone flashlight is best for quail eggs this late in the game.
I only use my small flashlight for the first week with quail eggs

i just tried to candle but yeah definitely difficult to see this late.....i tried phone flashlight but it didn’t work for me
i pulled 1 clear and my other 2 questionable look to be quitters but i will let them ride til lockdown

I didn't candle.... I just took the ones that are due, put them in the bottom of the bator and bumped up the humidity lol

I have a headlamp w a pretty strong light that works well - but w quail, I found I could only really tell much of anything early on. Once the chicks begin to fill the egg I usually just say, "Well, let's see what happens at hatch!"

38 still alive. Surprising no quitters since last candle. Several have internally pipped already and looks like the one tiny Silkie bantam/Sebright might be the first.
