I know, it's very unfortunate. I have to choose between the BYC deadline and the kids' spring break. It would be fun to participate, but I'd rather have my kids be home for the babies, so I'll have to pass again. Maybe some day the two will align.

Agree watching chicks hatching is more important. Grandkids loved watching. I actually did win the longest distance for shipped eggs in 2016.

Cool! Where did you have them shipped from? Being in CA gets you halfway to winning, you just need to order something from the other coast

Is there anybody from Malden? I'm technically a little farther east than Malden, getting eggs shipped from CA. I entered last year, was just a few days off from the time frame and did not qualify And when I looked at the winners and their mileage, I saw that I would've won by a lot... Waah.

We were living in Somerville, but I was born in Malden hospital. Ask me about my accent after I had speech classes in NJ, and the speech teachers were from Brooklyn and the Bronx. It only got worse from there.
