Grit is not calcuim , grit is granite used to help " chew " the food .

They get plenty of calcium and other goodies , I often give them oyster shell or their own eggs , boiled and crushed up ( they had a few of those yesterday - I had boiled a bunch for kids snacks and had leftovers )

Sorry , but I am sure not into shoveling . We had our 1st. measurable snow last thursday , before that was 1988 . It was pretty , but I do not envy anyone that has to deal with below zero temps and ice and snow every winter .
