I bought them from Mt. Healthy Hatchery outside of Cincinnati OH. Supposedly good at their job for over 80 years. I don't think any of my 3 Auracanas are legit : (
OK, I'm in full agreement that it's an EE, not an Ameraucana. However, this doesn't look like a cockerel to me. The patterning makes feathers appear pointed that actually aren't plus it's pretty late for an EE cockerel to not have any comb development. There's also no sign of rooster wing patches so I'm thinking pullet. BTW, I have had a number of chicks with pointed feathers in their juvenile tail. That means nothing at all."What's Up Chicken Butt??" What do you think about the tail feathers? ROO??? Auri is 13 weeks today. There is NO COMB... Any help?View attachment 1109542View attachment 1109543 View attachment 1109544

Easter Egger is not an actually breed, so there us no standard or consistency in appearance.... they cone in a wide variety of appearanceView attachment 1109760
There's my EE rooster ( I think), Peek A Boo ( Boo for short) next to his buddy Roo, ( Buff Orpington rooster). They were given to me when they were 13 weeks old.
If Boo is an EE like I'm told that he is then why does he look so different from other EE's?

Its no different than cinnamon queen, red star, golden comet etc being used as a "breed" to sell red sex links....they are not a breed eitherSo if there's no actual breed of EE then why are they listed as a breed?
I don't know anything about raising chickens. I have only begun tending to them since late 2015.
