13 year old boy told he cant fly flag on his bike...

Thanks for confirming that.

I am impressed by the presentation of their website, the professional tone of what they write and the quality of their English. Good luck to them, unless someone can still show that their aim is civil war!
Shoot. You don't need La Raza for that. We have enough home grown idiots with their own agenda trying to stir up hate and discontent. Let's see, there was Timothy McVeigh and his cohorts, and then the FBI just very recently arrested five geniuses who thought the best way to further their political aims (whatever they are) was to blow up a major bridge near Cleveland.

True, true. The same in Europe sadly. There are many stories similar to the ones that you can tell over there but this is the big one just now:

This site has links that explain what the La Raza site omits. It is very real.

Thanks for that.

Raza, as I'm sure you know, is the Spanish word for 'race', meaning ethnicity. Therefore, the use of the word in a website about MEChA, which seems to be a very different organisation, is not necessarily a reference to Raza the organisation. Your link contains opinions but I see no confirmation that Raza the organisation has any belief that part of the US should be annexed for the benefit of Latino immigrants. On the contrary, the very articulate text in their website is encouraging integration without losing pride in national origins. That in itself is not destructive or threatening and countries all over the world have groups of immigrants and their offspring who retain pride in their origins whilst taking a full part in their adopted country. Examples include Jews and, in Britain, Poles who escaped Poland during WWII.

The expressed aims or Raza the organisation seem to be very positive.

I think it is like many ethnic group organizations you get the good and the bad. Splinter groups use the name La Raza although thier motives are different. There is a lot more links than what I posted. I googled La Raza and Southwest U.S. and got several pages and they all read about the same.

Yes, I read that but it's all opinion with no supportive evidence. If someone wanted to discredit the organisation, that's just the sort of story they might want to make up.

They seem to be cleaning up their act. I did read in their website that they had trouble in the past with Mecha and some other affiliate groups using their name as a platform. It is wise of them to disassociate themselves from these separatist groups.

Although I know when it comes to someone supporting or discrediting an organization they both are capable of distorting the facts. A more reliable method is to see what they support and the behavior of their people at those events.

Judge them by what they do and not what they say or what other say a \bout them.
