I'm looking to make a feeder out of a 15 gallon barrel with bung opening. Dies anyone have suggestions for a lid on this size feeder? I will probably gave to cut off top to fill.

Secondly, what type of 90 degree pvc should I use for the opening. There are a lot of different types, I might try to fasten with screws for a more secure hold.

I would probably make a lid out of a piece of plywood and figure a way to attach it to the barrel, so it doesn't flip off when the chickens jump up on it.

I used these elbows and attached them with L brackets inside the bucket.

Thx for response. I tried making one earlier today And it didn't really work out much to my dismay I was not satisfied with the connection . I have been looking at a lot of videos and info online and I think I am going to use a little piece of wood and screws at the back to hold the pipe in place .I am also thinking a plywood top would work ok for the top
