15 hours to build coop and 6 hour to build run

You need a magnet to get door open on the coop kinda like the child proof ones you use on a kitchen cabinets those were put on to keep rain out until i got the maget lock put in.

Thank you. I hope mine comes out as well. We're also doing 4x8. We're hoping the run will be 20x8, but long, not wide. Although maybe square is better?

I can see it now Racoons pakin magnets.... Very very good idea even if your only keeping childeren out. I had that problem once came out to the side yard to find the little girl next door sitting down in my coop/run with a chicken firmly clutched in her lap. And the rest of the chickens in the yard. I sent her home with chicky poo on her pants..... Hee hee let HER explain to her mom.

My neighbor asked...How come your chickens don't lay eggs? I was like how do you know they don't.....he had no comment now there is a lock on nesting box. Ahhhh 8 weeks to eggs..I hope:rolleyes:

For those who get locked in run and coop.........
People in Run...no funny business of someone locking you in either.. takes a little effort

I use a lock when nobody is at home

Before someone comments..... yes door has screwes and washers just below the staples in pic. I found it soooo much faster to staple hardware cloth on coop then goto town with 300+ washers and screws ($8.00 per 100 box at Home depot).
