I’ll be joining the hatch along! I’m going to be setting some mystery eggs!

I set some Bantam eggs last Saturday. Wish I would have a waited week. Totally forgot about this, and the hen was eager to get going.

Yes, but all eggs to hatch +/- one-week count (3/23 through 4/6).

So the ones I set last Saturday will barely squeak in. They should hatch 23 or 24th. I set thirty eggs.

I'm hoping for my best hatch ever. I plan on filling my 41 egg incubator with 20 silkie eggs and 11 Bresse and 10 Dark Cornish. Looking to next year a whole incubator of just silkie eggs. If you are going to get in trouble then go big, go silkie.

I finally have a cleaned incubator and a slowly growing collection of hatching eggs from my birds so yes I'm going to be setting eggs this weekend

In order for my silkie eggs to hatch with the eggs I set from my hens I will have to wait until the 12th to set mine. I received word the the owner of the silkie hens will be out of town until then. Then again I may split the hatch by a few days and keep the silkies separate in a different brooder.

WEEEEEEEE! New incubator arrived!!!

Daughter is picking up my hatching eggs after work today. I am not waiting until the 9th to put them in, lol! So, I'll be a bit early.

Setting 24 eggs.

And I may have ordered another incubator...

Does a live goose with 13 eggs under her that may very well hatch on March 30th count? I guess Baby Curley decided she wanted to join in the fun. Just like her father!!
