Are you eventually just going to open the brooder door and let them range the whole coop?

Yes, once they can fly back up to the poop table or I get the steps built where they can get back up. Also after they learn how to get back up to the brooder. I have a door on the right side that is open at the moment into a dust bath room.

I just covered the top for when I'm not in there so no one can get into trouble.

I added some temporary accoutrements to the coop to allow them to explore the floor and an easy way back up to the brooder.



When they are not napping on Momma's shoulder.

Noodling around today hiding from the rain I made a Japanese rake for my Poop table. It was a practice rake to see if I like the proportions. I think the handle needs a bit more mass but other than that I like it and it was fun to figure out how to make it.
