18 Week Old Paint Silkie Gender

Do you know when silkies generally lay eggs or crow? I used to have a serama rooster growing up with my flock that was the same age as her, but she was always top bird. He crowed and she didn't, BUT they used to fight a lot around week 13. Unfortunately I got rid of my little rooster due to city ordinances but my silkie has never crowed despite his removal.
My male crowed around 10 weeks and one of my 2 girls laid her first egg yesterday!!! They are only 20 weeks!!! She laid again today also!! I was NOT expecting that!!! I have girls who should lay btwn 16 and 22 weeks that still arent laying at 25 to 32 weeks!!!

Thanks for the tag, @EmmaRainboe and @kurby22. 😊
Late to the party, but have to agree with everyone else, this little cutie looks like a PULLET.😍
Mine usually start laying around 7-8 months, though I had one start just under 6 months of age.
One of my 2 laid yesterday at only 20 weeks!!! I was so shocked when she started squatting!! The egg was so cute!!! Cant wait to see an OEGB egg now!!! Lol

Wow! Hope my girl lays soon! Her flockmates are starting to get color in their combs but only the ee bantams and seramas.

I agree looks like a little pullet to me as well! 😁

I would expect streamers by now in a male. The comb is a little bigger but given her age that isn't too unusual (maybe getting close to laying age). 😊
I'm so happy right now! I did notice her earlobes have turned bright turquoise so is that any indication of POL yet?

I'm actually not sure there, good question! I've never really tracked when mine get the blue coming in more. I'll have to try to pay more attention to ear lobes with my next group of grow outs. 😁
