1st building duck coop- ventilation concerns

Hi! We just bought a chicken coop we are turning into a duck house for our ducks. My concern is there doesn’t seem to be any ventilation. We’re drilling holes near the roof- but is that enough? Help. View attachment 2156434View attachment 2156435View attachment 2156434

I would say not even close! You’d probably do better to cut out a whole strip of wood and cover with hardware cloth

Maybe you could cut out a window with some hardware wire where those holes are. I don't know what the sides look like but you could do the same there as well. It could look really cute with some trim and a flower bed too

If you could get a jigsaw and just do a window type thing like everythingducks said that would be good. Depending on how many ducks you have maybe more than one "window" would be great. They will need lots of ventilation. It's very important because ducks expel so much moisture. If you live in a cold climate it can cause frostbite on their feet.
