Houston we have a problem! A silkie has hatched in the past hour with some of the yoke still hanging off of it. Not a ton, but I'm worried everyone else is stepping on it, or will peck it. It's already gotten stuck to the glass thermometer in there so she drug that around for a while. I Almost opened the bator just to seperate it from the thermometer. Yuck. I'm refraining because I don't want to shrink wrap anybody else though. My humidity is insane at 93%. Is that awful? Should i crack it for a second to get that down a touch? Temps still steady, just a tad shy of 100° although it's hard to see now that it's been moved. 8/13 have hatched. I'm technically 3.5hrs into day 21. Still have 2 eggs showing no external pips. Can someone give me a little guidance on the humidity level, and if I should do something or be prepared to do something that is still working on its yoke? View attachment 1201875
Oh! And yes I will absolutely be using that drawer liner next time! It's a brilliant idea. I just didn't read about it until after lockdown. So thanks for the reminder, WVduckchick!
